Virtual Space due to particular features such as obscurity and easiness of communication is a place for kinds of harms and offenses, and by passage of time, will be added on the degree of harms and offenses in the space. Virtual space, simultaneously, has provided possibility of injuring to other and being injured. Thus, dealing with category of prevention from various harms in the space that its effect extent involving all people, is essential and inevitable fact. Examining performed researches in this area show that considerable researches has not been done in the field. The purpose of the study is giving strategies for situational prevention from virtual space harms. Present article is based on library and fieldwork studies and researcher’s experiences in the field of information technology. This study is applicable and its type, surveying. Data collection tool is a created-by-researcher questionnaire that for increasing its validity, the questionnaires was distributed among 20 experts of statistical society and their viewpoints was applied. For the questionnaire stability, was used of Cronbach’s alpha calculation and gained amount of 0/95 Cronbach’s alpha. Present research statistical society has chosen among computer experts and relevant fields that considering their numbers (more than 100000), sample size was taken 384 persons. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used. Data obtained from the questionnaires using various statistical tests (descriptive parameters, T test (single-sample) were analyzed. To determine average rating of situational prevention methods, Friedman ranking test was used. In the field of situational prevention strategies from virtual space harms, dimensions of justifying removal, reducing obtained benefits of offenses, increasing of attempts to commit a crime and increase the risks for the offense, respectively, have highest to the lowest ranks of impact in the prevention of virtual space harms. The most important role of this research will be extracting the plans in the form of situational prevention strategies for virtual space harms that using them can lead to a significant impact on the prevention of virtual space harms.
